The last few months have seen the Canary Islands volcanic base particularly active with the end of 2011 leading to the seas off the coast of the southern Island of El hierro manifestly heated like a giant sauna as the heat from the underground eruptions caused some spectacular effects in the sea
Whilst things have been much calmer for the last few weeks of 2011 the WebCam below shows the spot beneath which the active undersea volcano changes both the temperature colour and nature of the relatively calm sea
